SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers related to
the listed topics for oral or poster presentation. Five (5)
copies of the paper must be submitted for review. Papers
should be printed on ISO A4 or USA 8.5" x 11" white paper,
written in English in one-column format in Times or similar
font style, 10 points or larger with 2.5cm (1") margins on
all four sides. A length of four pages is encouraged, and a
limit of six pages, including figures, tables and references
will be enforced.
Centered at the top of the first page should be the complete
title and the name(s), affiliation(s) and address(es) of the
author(s). The accompanying Paper Submission Cover Sheet
should be completed and attached to the submission.
TUTORIALS
It is proposed to invite experts in some of the areas
included in the list of topics above to present tutorials on
their area of expertise on Sunday 26 November 1995.
Suggestions for tutorial topics are invited.
EXHIBITS
Publishers, software developers and manufacturers are
invited to participate in the exhibition to be held during
the days of the conference. Details of available facilities
and associated costs may be obtained from the conference
management.
PLENARIES
It is proposed to hold a number of plenary sessions during
the conference. Suggestions for plenary topics are invited.

REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee covers admission to all conference
sessions, the welcome reception, morning and afternoon
breaks, and a copy of the conference proceedings.
The IEEE International Conference on Evolutionary Computing
(ICEC'95) will be held concurrently. ICNN'95 registration
will allow delegates to attend ICEC sessions at at no extra
cost. ICNN'95 delegates will be able to purchase copies of
the ICEC'95 proceedings if they wish to do so.

ICNN'95 tutorials will be held on Sunday 26 November, and

each day there will be a morning session and an afernoon

CONFERENCE DINNER
The Conference Dinner will be held on Thursday 30 November.
It may be attended by delegates and their partners. The cost
of the dinner will be US$45 per head. (The ICEC'95
conference dinner will be held separately on the same
night.)
METHODS OF PAYMENT
The accompanying Registration Form should be completed and
forwarded to the conference management address, together
with the appropriate payment. Payment may be by a cheque
drawn on Australian bank, by money order, or by credit card.
CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION
A Confirmation of Registration will be forwarded on receipt
of each completed Registration Form and accompanying
payment. Delegates are asked to bring this with them to the
comference and present it when registering.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Notice of cancellation should be given in writing to the
ICNN'95 Conference Management at the address shown on page
2. Refunds will be made in respect of cancellations of which
notification is received before the commencement of the
conference, subject to a 10 per cent handling charge.
Refunds will be processed after the conference.

AIR TRAVEL TO PERTH
Perth Airport is an international gateway, which is served
by flights from Europe, Asia and Africa. Visitors from the
USA may enter Australia via Sydney. Domestic flights connect
Perth to other Australian cities.
QANTAS Airways is the official carrier for the conference,
providing both domestic and international services.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Perth Airport, located 15 km east of the city centre has
separate Domestic and International terminals. They are on
opposite sides of the main runways and operate as though
they are different airports. Public buses, private coach
services and taxis are available for transport from the
airport to the city.
ACCOMMODATION
Hotel accommodation can be booked through the conference
secretariat. Accommodation at city hotels will be available
at rates between US$40 and US$150 per night.
Student accommodation will be available at halls of
residence at The University of Western Australia (15 minutes
from the conference site by bus) at rates starting from
US$15 per night for a student room and US$40 per night for a
guest room.
Family accommodation in serviced apartments may also be
arranged.
FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
The local unit of currency is the Australian Dollar. Most
hotels, restuarants and shops will accept the major
international credit cards. Banks are open from Monday to
Friday.

Perth is the capital of the state of Western Australia. It
is a modern city with a population of about a million
people. It has a reputation for a relaxed lifestyle and the
natives are friendly.
CLIMATE AND CLOTHING
The climate in Perth in early December is generally warm and
dry. Daytime temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius
(64 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit) and nighttime temperatures
between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius (51 to 61 degrees
Fahrenheit) can be expected. There is a 1 per cent chance of
rain, which can be expected to be heavy but short. Casual
clothing is appropriate. Swimwear will be required by
delegates wishing to swim in the Indian Ocean or the many
swimming pools .
TIME
Perth operates on (Australian) Western Standard Time (WST)
which is eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+8).
Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time) is not implemented in
Western Australia.
ELECTRICITY
The supply is 240 volts 50 Hz AC. Power points are the
Australian standard 3-pin design.
PLACES OF INTEREST
Perth is a picturesque city. Good views of parts of the
metropolitan area are obtained from Kings Park, which
overlooks the Central Business District. The port of
Fremantle and the Swan Valley vineyards are other local
attractions. The Swan river and the beaches provide
opportunities for swimming, fishing and water sports.
